Grand Marshal nominations have closed. Members in good standing will receive ballots to vote on February 4th, following the Board meeting.

The date of record to vote in the upcoming Board of Directors election and at the Annual General Meeting on September 12th was July 14th (60 days prior). If you join or renew after this date, you are welcome to attend as an associate member but will not be eligible to vote.

Board Nominations Now Open!

It's time once again to elect new members to our Board of Directors! We invite you to nominate dedicated individuals who will help guide San Francisco Pride into the future. The nomination period officially runs from Wednesday, July 22nd, through Wednesday, August 19th. You can prepare and submit your nominations online using our brand-new nomination form.

Members are encouraged to consider the composition of the incumbent board of directors, and to identify communities which may be underrepresented as they nominate and elect directors for vacant seats. To ensure our Board continues to be strong and effective, the Nominating Committee has identified a set of key skills and qualities that are particularly valuable. We're looking for nominees who bring expertise in areas such as:

  • A deep connection to the diverse communities San Francisco Pride serves, with the ability to inspire and mobilize support.
  • Business Development
  • Communications, Public Speaking, and Media Relations
  • Financial Management (especially with a nonprofit focus, including CPA expertise, banking/investment policies)
  • Fundraising
  • Legal
  • Nonprofit Administration
  • The time and dedication necessary to actively participate in committee work and Board responsibilities.

Before nominating someone, please have a conversation with them about the significant commitment involved in serving on our Board and confirm their willingness to contribute their time and talent.

We look forward to receiving your nominations and building a Board that reflects the strength and diversity of San Francisco Pride.

Only Members Can Nominate

Only members in good standing of San Francisco Pride are eligible to submit nominations for the Board of Directors. If you are not currently a member, you can use the link below to join and then make a nomination. All nominations must be seconded by another member.

Date of Record Has Passed

The voter eligibility date of record was July 14th. Only members who joined or renewed on or before this date are eligible to vote. New members are "associate members" for 60 days and cannot vote in the upcoming election.

Membership Dues

Membership dues are $15 annually. Your contribution helps support the Annual Parade and Celebration.

Dues are tax-deductible. If you are unable to pay, dues can be waived by request to the Board of Directors.

Membership Cycle & Renewal

All memberships expire annually on November 14 regardless of registration date. Renewals made after the Annual General Meeting (Sep) count toward the following year.

  • Renewal Window: Post-AGM to Nov 14
  • Grace Period: Nov 15 - Dec 10
    Last chance to limit voting gap
  • After Dec 10: Membership lapses.
    Re-joining requires 60-day wait for voting rights.
